Where It All Began
I lost my mother young — the woman whose quiet love for jewelry planted the seed for what would one day become my life’s work. Her passing shifted something in me. I wanted to forge my own path, but I also felt called to honor her. That’s what led me to jewelry — not just as a craft, but as a tribute to the beauty she saw in the world, and the way she carried it with grace.
When I started Hatatian in 2021, I had no roadmap — only a deep conviction that this was mine to build. In Kenya, where access to industry knowledge and resources was limited, I learned by doing. I experimented, stumbled, and grew through every challenge. And in the process, I found strength. I wasn’t just creating jewelry — I was shaping a legacy.
From the beginning, I built this brand with intention. I chose custom pieces over mass production. I prioritized storytelling, craftsmanship, and ethically sourced gemstones. I wanted each piece to hold meaning — to carry soul, not just shine.
